Giving the Gift of Music- Piano Lessons

My girls have always had a love for music and it makes this mama so happy.  There isn't a single car ride that doesn't involve music requests around the clock and spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen are a thing in our household.  Needless to say "we've got a feeling inside our bones" and we decided to fuel their musical passions with piano lessons recently.

The girls started lessons at United Conservatory of Music in January and are so excited about each lesson and what they are learning.  Madi says, "It's the best ever!" and Emily is always eager to practice and grow.  What I ABSOLUTELY love about UCM is that both girls can take their lessons at the same time.  Anything that saves me time is a win.  However, if you have kids who aren't taking lessons there is a great play area perfect for entertaining your little ones while another takes a lesson.  Both girls decided they wanted to learn how to play piano but United Conservatory offers 13 different instruments so if you have children with different interests, they have you covered.  On top of the 13 different instruments UCM offers voice lessons as well.

If your budget doesn't allow for private lessons than UCM also offers Group Lessons which pair similarly matched ages and levels of 2-6 students.  Another great option is a UCM Summer Camp.  I know I'm always searching for ways to keep my kids entertained during Summer and giving them something educational is such a win-win.

If you have a younger little musician then you need to check out their Little Shakers program which is a music class for 2-6 year olds.  As soon as Jack is old enough I know the two of us will be checking this out.  Jack is obsessed with music and dancing, so I'm sure he would love this!

If you've been around here for any length of time you know how much I love giving experience gifts opposed to material gifts.  I've been an Aunt for much longer than I've been a mom and I've been gifting experiences for 18 years.  I think kids get so much "stuff" and they have very little appreciation for any of it.  They also don't remember who gave them what about five minutes after tearing into the wrapping paper.

I'm always looking for new ideas on gift experiences and this is a great one.  Not only are you gifting something new and fun but you're also giving them a lifetime talent and skill.  This is one of those rare gifts where a child can have lots of fun but it also builds and shapes their minds.  Now is a great time to sign up because if you use code ANNIE50 you will get $50 off your first month of lessons and a free music book!  For further discounts, there are prepaid discounts.

You can find United Conservatory of Music at 4747 N. First Street, Suite 185 Fresno, CA open 7 days a week.
