Ho Ho Ho

I am so behind on blogging.... during Christmas I had the flu then I got a cold so I've been MIA lately.  This was the first time in my life I missed most of Christmas.  It broke my heart to not celebrate with Emily because she was really into gifts this year.  But in the scheme of things the flu was not that big of deal.  I didn't have a child killed in Sandy Hook or wasn't seriously ill in a hospital.  There were still many blessings to be thankful for this holiday season.

A few weeks before Christmas we celebrated with Grandpa Dennis in Bakersfield.  We had a fun day playing games, enjoying a delicious meal, and opening lots of fun gifts.

Christmas Eve we always celebrate at Mom Mom and Papa's House.  Kevin and Emily enjoyed a Christmas feast and opened lots and lots of gifts.

Then it turns into Baby WWE...

Christmas morning we went to Grandma Jill's and enjoyed more Christmas spirit.

Emily got a slide that she just lit up for!

This spring and summer I bet we will spend many hours climbing all over this!!!

Tis the Season...

Christmas is my favorite time of year.  I make sure to decorate right after Thanksgiving so we can enjoy the spirit for as long as possible.  We've been really busy this season with parties and enjoying family and friends.  Here are assortment of things we've been up to...

Ugly Sweater Christmas Night at Downtown Fresno Ice Rink with our great friends Brittany and Michael

Ice Skating Downtown

I was invited to a super fun 5 Favorite Things Party to kick off the holidays.  My favorite item that I took was 60 second nail polish.  As a mom of a one year old I can't wait for my nails to dry so I love this polish.

My dear friend Christina had a Secret Santa party that was so much fun.  We played White Elephant to exchange our gifts and we also played Left, Right, Center which is a fun dice game.

I forgot to take a photo of a cute candle gift I made.  You just buy any candle and add this tag to it...

This is our 25 Days of Christmas Countdown.  I did this for Kevin and each night he gets to pull off a card.  Some days it's a reason why I love him, some days it's an activity, and other days it's a cute saying with a corresponding gift.

Here are some pics of Emily in her holiday gear...

Christmas PJ's.  Emily loves to climb so she was very excited when she conquered the ottoman.  It's a coincidence that The Real Housewives was on in the back but I'm thinking this should be my blog cover photo!!! LOL!

Thankful

We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Perry's and then Kevin's sister's later in the day.  We are very blessed with lots of family to share the holiday with.
God has graced us with abundant blessings but some of the things we are most thankful for this year are our health and family.

Thanksgiving weekend we always travel to Pismo Beach and go camping.  Traveling with a 1 year old prevented us from camping on the beach so we stayed in a hotel.  We still had lots of fun riding on the dunes and playing in the sand.  The weather was great this year for the first time!!!
Emily loved getting dirty on the beach.
