National Demolition Association

I am a bit behind on my blogging... At the end of March Kevin's entire family traveled to San Diego for the NDA convention. Kevin's Uncle Jeff was inducted as the president of the NDA, so we went to support him.  It took us a painful 8 hours to get to San Diego.  Can I just say I HATE LA traffic!!!!!
Since it took an entire day to get there that day was shot.  On Saturday we all went to Lego Land.  We had lots of fun and miss Emily really enjoyed it.  Sunday we explored downtown San Diego.  The Gas Lamp District is pretty cool.  That night was the kickoff dinner for the convention on the USS Midway.  It was such a cool experience.  The night ended with a grand firework show.  Monday the boys sat in classes and the girls and kids went to the San Diego Children's Museum.  Emily had lots of fun exploring.  That evening we had a sailor themed dinner.  There was a live band and we danced the night away.  Luckily, loud noises don't bother Em; she slept in her stroller right through the music.  Tuesday we hit downtown again for a little shopping.  Tuesday night was a formal dinner where Uncle Jeff was inducted as President.  Wednesday was our last day and we walked along the wharf and had some lunch and then drove for about 6 hours home.  6 was better than 8!!!

Cookie Monster

My youngest nephew recently turned one and had a milk and cookies party.  It was super cute and lots of fun.  Emily had a blast playing bubbles and running around with her cousins.  Jake loved his cake and I do have to say it was delicious, I had a huge piece.  I also filled up on half a dozen delicious cookies; I thought I was the cookie monster.

I challenge you to find a cuter cupcake!!!

Snow Day

I missed blogging about our quick snow trip to Shaver Lake in February.  We took an afternoon drive to Shaver so we could play in the snow.  This wasn't Emily's first time to the snow but it was the first time since she could walk around.  The only snow outfit I had for her was really small so she had a hard time maneuvering in it.  We played and had a picnic and then headed home.  I love being so close to Shaver for this exact reason:)
