Let Freedom Ring

We celebrated Fourth of July at our house with a BBQ, where our friends and family beared the almost unbearable heat.  We had such a fun day playing games, racing down the waterslide, shooting off fireworks, and doing lots of eating and drinking.

Thanks to everyone who came!

Here are a few of Em's holiday outfits:

I made this and it was supposed to be worn with an adorable tutu on the 4th.  However, the iron left two spots on the onesie.  I tried to bleach the spots many times.  I did that one too many times because it created a hole:(  Such a waste of time and money.  I was so sad.

Holiday Decor:

I spray painted stars in the grass

Homemade Star Shortbread Cookies made by my mom to make a flag.  Aren't these spectacular?!?!
I painted this pallet as a flag

This is what it looks like when you try to take a photo of a one and half year old..... (ADD and no smiles)

Going to the Chapel

My two best friends got married a few weeks ago.  It was a family affair; we were all in the wedding.  It was such a honor to be there to support our very special friends.

I went down on Friday morning to get mani/pedi's with Gina.  We then relaxed by the pool before heading to the rehearsal.  The Serpa Family hosted a fabulous rehearsal dinner at Papapolloni's.  I stayed the night at Gina's parents house where we had a final girls night before Gina became Mrs. Serpa.  Saturday we did hair and makeup at their house while sipping on Champagne.  It was a really fun day.
The wedding was in Oakdale where Gina is from.  They were married in the same church as her parents and many other family members.  It was such a beautiful church.  Our little flower girl did not make it down the aisle.  I think it was a combo of no nap and not knowing the ring bearer and junior bridesmaids.  I was devastated that she just screamed and didn't walk down the aisle:(  Regardless, the ceremony was beautiful.

The reception was in Oakdale as well and everything was so BEAUTIFUL and tons of fun as well!

As I said in my toast, I wish Gina and Anthony, "health to bless their bodies, wealth to pack their pockets, joy to fill their future, and that their love last forever!"

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Serpa!
