The Magic of a Girls Trip

I don't know about you but a girls trip is good for my soul and something that I need every now and then.  If I'm being honest I'd love one every month but that's not realistic.  Recently one of my best friends and I took a quick 36 hour trip to LA.  We covered so many miles, ate the best food, sipped yummy cocktails, and even tackled some business.

Our first stop was to Casa Vega in the Valley.  This restaurant has been on my bucket list for several years after seeing it on several shows like Keeping Up with Kardashians, Flipping Out, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  It's not a glamorous building or high end area but the food was amazing and quite affordable.

Our next stop on the LA tour was the LIKEtoKNOW.It wall release in Venice Beach.  The location was revealed on Wednesday and for the first few hours the company had a photographer there to snap some shots of their influencers.  It was so exciting to meet some of the LKT staff and take some shots in front of the vibrant "Magic" wall.

Are you asking yourself what the heck is LIKEtoKNOW.it?????  Well have you ever looked at a photo on Instagram or a blog and thought to yourself I would love to buy that shirt/skirt/pair of shoes?  With the LIKEtoKNOW.it platform anyone can get the shopping info and make the purchase.  There are a few ways for you to shop with LIKEtoKNOW.it.  First you can search your favorite blogs and use the links within the blog to shop.  You can shop my blog over on the right where it says, "As Seen on Instagram" or at the top of the site, "Shop My Closet."  If you're on Instagram you can sign up for LIKEtoKNOW.it HERE and then when you "like" a photo you will get an email with all the shopping details.  The last and latest way to shop LIKEtoKNOW.it is with the app.  If you download the app HERE you can screenshot the photo you want to shop on Instagram and then open the app to instantly get the shopping details.  By the way, the photo has to have this symbol in the bottom right hand corner for the app to work.

If you're still confused contact me with any more questions.  But trust me if you're not signed up you are missing out.  It's almost everyday that I see something I just have to have and now I can easily get the info and start shopping without having to ask ever blogger where they bought something.

My girlfriend Rema of Jewelry and Jeans, started blogging about the same time and have supported each other through the blogging journey.  I speak for myself when I say I still have a ton to learn and I couldn't do it without support of other bloggers/influencers.

I started blogging to have a digital diary for my first daughter but I realized it was such a creative outlet for me.  I love sharing my ideas when it comes to fashion, crafts, food, family activities, and more.  Thank you to those who follow along with me.  You inspire me and I love connecting with you!  Please if you ever have any suggestions please I'd love to hear about it.

We then headed around town for some amazing photo opportunities.  We decided to have dinner and cocktails at CATCH.  I loved the atmosphere as well as the food.  I totally recommend dining here if you're in LA/West Hollywood.  Our night on the town included making a stop at SUR where we spotted Stasi, Brittany and Lisa and Ken filming for the next season of Vanderpump Rules.  We were shocked how empty the restaurant and lounge were especially since they were filming.  Rema took some videos but I didn't so I don't have any pics to share.  Our last stop was at The Chapel at The Abbey which provided some great people watching.

The next day we couldn't miss shopping at The Grove with our primary objective being to hit up the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  A little retail therapy never hurt anyone!  We then grabbed lunch and then lounged around the rooftop pool back at our hotel.

Our last stop on the way out of LA was The Griffith Observatory which was another bucket list item for me.  I've seen this place on so many TV shows and movies and it just looked breathtaking.  It didn't disappoint other than the traffic getting in and out of there.  You could see the Hollywood sign, the ocean and all of LA from the observatory.  You've got to see it at least once if you're in the area.

It was such a fun and productive little vacay!  I can't wait for the next girls trip.  Without the love and support of friends I wouldn't survive this little thing called life.
