Friday Favorites 8/12

Holy Moly I have been a bit overwhelmed this last week with work and life but it's all good things!  The week was extra packed with something every single day and night so I have TONS of fun stuff to share with you.

Here are my favorites from the week:

I wear what feels like a million hats every single day but honestly I really wouldn't want it any other way.  I am a wife, mom, Realtor, Guarantee Mentor, Lifestyle Blogger, friend, daughter, cousin, financial planner (just for us), taxi driver, therapist, nurse (again just within our house).  Even though I wouldn't trade in any role sometimes it makes me feel a bit like this...

Some days I could pull my hair out or grab a cocktail, lol.

When I found this top from Kind Kiddo I just had to have it because it sums up my life totally.  Go check them out for not only this tank but other cute items.

I'm also in love with this local backdrop.  So it's one of my favorites for the week.  Finding local beauty just excites me!

The Little Gym Fresno had their open house this last weekend which was fabulous!  The girls got to play, eat snacks and we finally signed Madi up for a weekly class.  We can't wait to get started.  We took Emily when she was about Madi's age and she loved it.  If you're looking for a great activity for your little one you've got to check them out.

I have been waiting for YEARS for a Hobby Lobby to come to Fresno.  I've never understood how smaller towns like Merced and Visalia got one but we didn't have one.  I was over the moon to check out our new store when it opened this last weekend.  I was in craft heaven.

Kevin has taken Emily a few times to ride her motorcycle and we have a rider on our hands.  She absolutely loves it and thoroughly enjoys her time with daddy!

It was fun to have our family photo in a local magazine, Bluff View Magazine!

On Saturday night our great friends the Serpa's invited us to Zoofari.  The girls had so much fun touring the zoo and tasting Producer's Ice Cream all along the way.  Thank you so much for inviting us!!!

On Sunday we got our boat out on the water for the first time all year.  So pathetic I know!  We had the best time soaking up the sun and listing to the tunes.

During the week I had the absolute pleasure of being invited to CPK to taste their newest menu items.  A full post will be up soon so stay tuned for the overwhelming amazingness that we got to experience.  The food, drinks, and service were literally 5 star!

One of Emily's best friends celebrated his 5th birthday this week with a fun party at Skywalk.  The girls had so much fun and it was such a cute party.  I missed a photo of the favors before the girls tore into them but the pirate swords, cups, pirate booty and straws were too cute.  Thank you so much Patricio's for inviting us.

One of the main reasons I LOVE my job is getting to deliver keys to a new homeowner.  That feeling of excitement is like no other.  I had the absolute pleasure of working with my friend Aubray and her husband Ryan to find this adorable home.  I am so excited for your journey and all the memories you will make in your new home.  Congrats and Cheers!

Keep Your Head, Heels, & Standards High

I love to get dressed up.  As a busy mom I know that isn't the norm but I honestly love getting dolled up.  About 99% of the time you will find me with my hair done, makeup on, and wearing an outfit not made of spandex.  No shade to the yoga uniform at all; it's just my preference to get dressed up most days.  There are a few reasons why I love getting dressed up.  One, I firmly believe in always dating your husband.  There are so many ways I fail at this but the one way I don't is always looking good for him.  Even if I get home from work way before him I stay fully dressed so I look nice when he gets home.  Another major reason for looking fashionable is how it makes me feel.  On the days I feel like wearing the yoga uniform I usually feel different about my self.  Getting dressed up elevates my mood and outlook so it's part of the reason it's part of my routine.  We've all heard it- "Get up, dress up, show up!"  For me that's so true.  Another cliche is," Keep your head, heels, and standards high."  Yet another tag line I totally follow.
In the hot Fresno summer months where it stays over 100 degrees most of the summer it can be difficult to look cute while staying cool.  Cute and light dresses are frequently my go-to during the hot months.  This season I'm totally obsessed with floral prints and off-the-shoulder anything (like you didn't know this already).  So finding this feminine dress from PinkBlush was a total score; I did a happy dance.  Floral prints make me feel so sweet and feminine yet the off-the-shoulder dress helps spice up my attitude and make me feel just a bit sexy.
Check out how I've simply styled this look and check out their website for an endless amount of cute looks.
To make your shopping even more fun go check out my Instagram to enter a PinkBlush Giveaway.  One lucky reader will win a $50 gift card to PinkBlush.

Something I love about PinkBlush is the versatility of their clothing.  Their mission is to offer not your mother's maternity clothing but the latest fashion trends to every woman whether she has a growing bump, losing the baby weight, or just a mom who needs cute but comfortable clothing.  Their clothing is great for transitioning to post-pregnancy and even suitable for the woman who is way post-partum.  My "baby" is 2 years old and let's face it my body isn't what it was before children.  I've lost all the baby weight but it just isn't the same.  An article of clothing from PinkBlush is great for women who are in the same boat as me.  Do keep in mind PinkBlush tends to run a little on the big side.  I did have to have a few alterations to make my dress just perfect.
I also love how affordable PinkBlush dresses are.  An extra bonus is always free shipping and easy exchanges.

This dress is perfect for work, a date night, a night out on the town, or a wedding or baby shower.  I find it so versatile and easy to wear.  It's so comfortable I could even dress it down with sandals and wear it to run around.

Friday Favorites 8/5

How in the world are we in August already?!?! I'm crying over here that summer is slipping away so fast.  I'm trying to soak up every second of summer.  Would work please pause for a moment so I can only play, J/K!
Here are my favorites of the week:

1. Nume's Flat Iron Flash Sale

My hair is just about as pathetic as it comes; it does nothing typically.  I was in love with another styling tool for a hot minute but then that love fizzled super quick.
This week I tried a Nume Styling wand and I'm thrilled to still have curls hours later.  Stay tuned for a full review coming soon.
You also have to try Nume's Fashionista Flat Iron.  Today through Sunday 8/7/16 you can snag the Fashionista for $39 and free shipping.  Regular price is $139.  Don't miss out on this deal; click link below for discount.

2. Mini- Pleat Top

My fashion love of the week is this new top I snagged from Banana Republic.  I think it's a great color for transitioning into Fall (still crying over this reality) and I love pleats!
A full and better look will be coming soon; stay tuned.

3. Checking Off Our Summer Fun Bucket List
Running Through the Sprinklers was on our bucket list and we got to cross that off this week.  It's been over 105 for what feels like forever so any way to cool down is a plus for us.  For all the haters that are going to send me hate mail we ran in them for about 5 minutes and turned them off.  It was also a water day so we didn't waste excess water.

Check out our full list HERE

4. My 4 year old sweet heart who looked 14 when I glanced back in the car.

I had to quickly grab my phone because I couldn't miss remembering her sitting like this.  When did she grow up?!?!?

5. Mommy-Daughter Dates
Emily's good behavior has been so exceptional I promised her a date at Chuck E Cheese's as a reward.  We had the perfect mommy-daughter date this week which we finished off with ice cream at Baskin Robbins.

Spotting Chuck E Cheese

6. B & R Flavor of the Month- Oreo Cake Batter
It was National Ice Cream Sandwich day so I was obligated to indulge in this....
It was as good as it looks!
