Fresno Friday-Gilroy Gardens

This Fresno Friday is another example of our great central location.  I LOVE that Fresno is so close to a variety of fun places.  A few weeks ago my mom and I took the girls to Gilroy Gardens for the first time.  We loved it so much.  It was really quiet; we almost never waited in a line.  It was also super cute and clean.  I would definitely say it's for the age range of 2-7.  Older kids would be totally bored I think.  After riding the rides we went to their "water park."  We were expecting something like Wild Water but it was a very small area with a few water features, two water slides, and a small wading pool.  It wasn't what we were expecting but we still loved it.  The rest of the park was nearly empty but it was a hot day so the water area was pretty packed.  Emily always loves water but it was funny to see Madi in the water she loved it and was so (too) daring.
My favorite ride was the cars with Madi.  She drove and was hilarious flopping around as the car jerked and turned.  I nearly peed my pants.  The ferris wheel was also a lot of fun with the girls.
We finished the day with eating at the Habit and getting some FroYo.  We spent the night in Gilroy and shopped at the outlets the next day.  It was a great getaway.  I totally recommend Gilroy Gardens if you have young kids.

There was music playing and the girls spontaneously were dancing.

My dare devils were BORED by the little rides.

Fresno Friday- Kuni Sama & Bowling

We had a summer fun day with the cousins this week.  We had lunch at one of our new favorite restaurants Kuni Suma and bowling at Rodeo Lanes.  Kuni Sama is located at the SW corner of Herndon and Willow and has Teppan Yaki and a sushi bar.  We've been a few times for Teppan Yaki and have absolutely loved it each time.  This week was Emily's first time and she loved watching the "show".  After a great meal we headed over to Rodeo Lanes.  This was technically Emily's second time bowling but she was quite young her first time.  She still wasn't totally into it mostly because you have to wait your turn.  She was patient but got a little bored I think.

We're always looking for fun things to do locally so share your ideas.  We give Kuni Sama two thumbs up and for the right age I think bowling is a great summer activity.

Thank you Grandma Jill for treating us to a fun day.

I thought it was so cute that she watched the ball after it rolled away.

Only my daughter eats lunch and then wants pizza one hour later.  Bottomless pit.

Carter's 4th Birthday Party

This week we celebrated one of Emily's best friends birthdays.  Carter celebrated his 4th birthday at Skywalk which was an awesome spot for a party.  We got the whole place to ourselves and the girls just loved running and jumping; both girls are total dare devils.  After jumping for about an hour we had pizza and then cupcakes.  Christina did a fabulous job with decorating; everything was so cute!!!
Happy Birthday to Carter.  We wish you many blessings and happiness on your birthday.  Thank you Patricio's for including us in the celebration.

I love Carter's face after blowing out his candle.

Madi thought she was just IT sitting like a big girl.  She did AMAZING.  Did worm around once and fed herself right from her plate.  I was shocked.

The really cute favors!

Mommy Monday-Book Barn

My good friend Christina, found story time with Mother Goose at the Book Barn in Clovis.  We decided to go check it out last week.  There is a little dancing time before it starts and Emily and Madi walked right up to play.  Emily got picked to choose a book for Mother Goose to read once the story time got started.  Then the kids do show and tell (we didn't bring anything).  Lastly everyone gets to take a picture with Mother Goose. After the session was over we went downstairs and bought a used book for Emily.
Story time was packed and a bit loud.  I would recommend this for little ones but not on a weekly basis.  Once in awhile is plenty.

Huge smile on her face!

Madi thinking, "How did I get crabs?!?!"

After story time we did lunch and ice cream!
