Friday Favorites 11/17

Woo-Hoo to Friday and vacation!  I'm so excited for the girls to have a week off.  We have relaxing on the books and little fun too.  Here's my favorites from the past few weeks:

We took our boat out to our family ranch to store it for the Winter and so we took the girls for the first time to see the ranch and dairy.  The ranch was my all time favorite place in the whole world and it's where I spent most of my summers and weekends as a little girl.  It's quite sad that we haven't taken the girls out before but I was so excited to take them.  We fed the cows, climbed the hay stacks, and explored the dairy.  Both the girls were absolutely in love and it made my heart so happy to show the girls a part of my childhood.

We are far from the clean living household but as I've shared in the past I am trying to make small steps in the right direction.  Don't get me wrong I don't see us ever living chemical free and eating all organic but making some changes for all our health are in order.  I've heard so much about essential oils so I've decided to give them a try.  Not only do the oils excite me but the sisters behind the company are equally awesome.  Sis & Oil was started about a year ago by two sisters, Megan and Shelby when they were looking for a path of wellness.  Essential oils of course have a beautiful fragrance but their benefits far exceed the scents including better sleep, clearer skin, better digestion and better mood.  Sis & Oil use oils from Young Living which can be used in three ways: topically, aromatically or through ingestion.  Oils offer an option that is far less toxic for us and still improve wellness.  If you have questions or would like to try some essential oils please contact Sis & Oil.

Emily has been asking to ride daddy's Harley for such a long time and Kevin finally took her on a short ride.  Of course Madi needed a turn as well.  You could hear Madi squeal with delight from down the road.

I rounded up friends for a girls night to see the opening of Bad Moms Christmas.  We started with drinks and food and then watched the movie.  To kick off the holidays in style we all wore Ugly Christmas sweaters.  I found the best Christmas jumper; you should have seen the looks I got walking through the parking lot and restaurant!  Thanks girls for such a fun night!!!!

Emily had a field trip to the children's hospital in our area where she got to take her teddy bear to the clinic.  They gave their bears a x-ray, blood work, and administered band-aids.  She was very excited to tell me all about it when she got home.

I recently had an escrow that closed and I wanted to share with you their housewarming gift that I put together.  I used a beverage bucket as the basket so its something they could use instead of throw away.  Inside included gift cards but also gifts that have meaning and send a blessing.  You can see the tag below and what each items signifies.

Emily had her jog-a-thon to raise money for class supplies and field trips.  Emily was excited to run but used it as social hour as well.  She would run with all her steam and then realize she left behind a friend so she would either stop and wait or turn back around to grab a friends hand and then jog along.  That's my girl, competitive but caring.  She ran a total of 14 laps and we were all proud of her.  Thank you to Mom Mom and Grandma for coming to cheer on our little runner.

Could these girls get any cuter?!?!
I loved watching the CMA's this year and in my opinion Carrie and Brad totally make the show!!!  Garth didn't hurt either!  It's the only award show I watch anymore.  I loved the performers, the fashion and most importantly the hosts.

In case anyone was curious of the verdict we went with this option for our Christmas cards.  I was really happy with this selection and loved working the sweet Melissa Gotelli

One of my very best friends just hit a milestone birthday.  We celebrated with a party bus and wine tasting.  It was such a gorgeous day and we had so much fun!  After wine tasting we went to dinner and then one of our favorite dive bars.  Cheers and Happy Birthday Pammy!

Emily had such a busy week at school including a Thanksgiving play (performed over 3 days) and a feast.  First performance was to their 4th grade buddies, second was for family and the last performance they took on the road to a local retirement home.  Emily did a great job even though she was nervous.  I am super impressed with her teacher and how much work she put into the performance.
