Friday Favorites 10/7

Holy Moly where did Fall come from?  I returned home from sunny and warm Long Beach to cool and crisp Fresno.  I am still kind of shocked.  I'm probably the only person excited that this weekend is warming up again.  We have a fun weekend planned including the fair, a baby shower, a birthday party and more.

The last week was yet again jam packed.  I pretty much should stop saying that because it's just a given now.  Here are my favorites from the week:

Recently we started making over Madi's room.  It was converted from a nursery to a big girl room.  You can see all the details HERE but I was so excited to be featured on Beddy's social media!

While in Long Beach for work my mom and Madi had a ton of fun.  I am so lucky and blessed that my mom will travel with me so that I get to have my baby girl with me.

While I was out of town I got to try my new Xtava traveling products.  They are travel size but don't lose any power or quality.  I love their size and I especially love the dual flat iron and curling wand.  It's such a genius idea to have two tools in one!  The blow dryer is phenomenal; so much better than any hotel blow dryer.  It's tiny but packs a punch.  I also love the traveling case that holds all my hair products.

We drove straight from LB to a wedding here at home.  Kevin and Emily were in our very dear friends wedding this last weekend and it was so much fun.  Not only was it fun but it was so beautiful; Brittany was stunning and Michael was equally handsome.  We were so honored to have our family be in their wedding.  We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!

Kevin celebrated an anniversary this week.  The 3rd anniversary of his 29th birthday, lol!!!!  Because there's no way we can be in our 30's!  We had a family dinner at Westwoods and then ice cream cake at home.  It was a very nice night!

My mom brought me this Pumpkin Body Butter and it's to die for.  I just love it and I love that my mom was so thoughtful.

Trader Joe's is the best place to find all things pumpkin.  I loved the Ravioli's but the rest of the family didn't.  We all love the pancakes and waffles but I really didn't like the pumpkin butter; the spice was super strong.

We're loving our new Hefty Ultra Strong Kitchen Trash Bags because they can handle our biggest messes including this 2 year old!  In case you missed it earlier you can get your coupon HERE.

This week I had the privilege of volunteering with PINC at the Fresno Fair.  EECU and Toyota hosted scholarships and giveaways for students with a 4.0.  PINC gave two $1500 scholarships and these were the winners.  It was great to be part of a good cause.

On Thursday night my best friend Gina invited me to the Jason Derulo concert at the fair.  We had a great time but it really wasn't because of the music.  He only performed for about 45 minutes but we had fun having a girls night.  Thanks Gina for inviting me!

I've partnered with the Marjoree Mason Center for their #MakeupFreeforMMC campaign.  Women who are physically abused often will cover up the signs with makeup and those who are emotionally abused often hide their feelings and portray that everything is fine.  This campaign aims to uncover the abuse and shame.  So today I'm helping to spread awareness and take a stand.  I encourage you to take a makeup free selfie and share with #MakeupFreeforMMC and/ or donate by texting GIVE to (559) 512-7780.

Speaking of empowering women I wanted to share some lovely ladies with you that I call friends.  These are hardworking, intelligent, and driven women who are powerhouses here in Fresno.  Check out my IG to learn more about these beautiful women.

I've recently been loving linking up with others bloggers.  I was so excited to get an email from Jersey Girl Texan Heart that said I was one of the 3 most clicked on from last week:)  You can check out her blog and linkup below.

Xtava products were received from L'Oreal Paris as part of the #PreenMeVIP program in exchange for a review.  As always all opinions are honest and my own.
