I'm Dreaming of A White Christmas - Holiday Home Tour

I can tell that I am not alone when I say I am dreaming of a white Christmas and by that I mean inside my house (I've noticed a very white Christmas all over social media)!  In our dining room and formal living room I've always had mostly white decorations but this year I've added a few more touches of pure and crisp white.  If I had my way everything in the house would turn to white, not just the Christmas decor.  But since I don't have an unlimited bank account I will just have to decorate with white.  I swoon for white but adding twinkle lights just takes it over the top in my opinion.

During the holidays I love setting my dining room table with my fine china.  You get all this overly expensive china when you get married and most people never bust it out, so every year I set the table for the holidays as part of my decor.  This year I added a white twinkle garland from Treetopia.  I am so excited about this addition.  It makes the tablescape so much more festive and elegant. Additionally, I added a white wreath from Treetopia to my living room as part of our Advent Wreath. Our Advent Wreath is something very important to our family.  Every night we light the wreath as we sit around the table while we say our prayers, read a bible verse and watch a child's Advent video. We try to remember the reason for the season and teach that to our girls.  Our nativity scene also lives in our living room.  We keep the manger empty until Christmas when Christ is born. Having the nativity out helps us to keep the conversation going with the girls.  Even better we have a children's nativity in our family room so the girls can play with it and do reenactments.  The white decors continues with a white twinkle garland on the sideboard in the living room and the white Christmas tree.

I was finally able to find a Christmas card tree this year in the shape of a white snowflake to display all the cards we receive.  I have been trying to hunt one down for years and was so excited to find this one that matches the room perfectly.  Once it fills up with cards of course you can't see the shape but at the start it's beautiful.  I love displaying our family and friends cards because each is like a little piece of art.  One final touch for this room is the stockings.  They are burlap to match the linen colored furniture and they are hung by mercury glass trees.  Each stocking has a silver glitter initial to identify each.

Our family room is decorated with traditional Christmas red and pops of green.  I'm feeling a Christmas makeover in this room next year.  As I mentioned this is where we have our children's nativity set along with all our Christmas books and the count up to Christmas.  As you can tell this is a much more kid friendly room and where we spend most of our time.

To update your Christmas decor I recommend checking out Treetopia.  They offer trees of almost any color, wreaths, garlands, stockings, ornaments, and more.  I was so pleased with my additions from them this year.  Now is the best time to shop for next year's decor; Treetopia has a phenomenal sale going on now.

Wreath and garland received in exchange for this post.  As always all opinions expressed are honest and my own.
